A Russian strike on a 9-storey residential building in the town of Selidove in Donetsk region injured five people, including a child.

"On 8 April 2024, at 15:40, the occupation forces of the Russian Federation fired on the town of Selydove. The munition hit an apartment building. Five people, including an elderly couple and a 16-year-old girl, were injured. The victims with injuries of varying severity were provided with medical assistance," the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office said.

The type of weapon used by the occupiers to attack the settlement is currently unknown.

A pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war by the Russians has been initiated.
